* 4 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 3/4 cups butter flavored shortening (chilled)
* 3 tablespoons white sugar
* 2 teaspoons salt
* 1 egg
* 1/2 cup ice water
Cooking Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, shortening, sugar, and salt. Blend together with a pastry cutter until crumbly.
2. In a small bowl, mix egg with ice water. Blend into flour mixture. Chill in refrigerator until ready to use.
Freezing Directions:
* Wrap in plastic wrap, or put in freezer bag to freeze.
Reheating Directions:
* Thaw in fridge till soft enough to work with.
TIPS: Do not overwork dough, it will get tougher. Chilled dough is much easier to work it - keep it cold!
* Makes 3 pie crusts
