HERB CHICKEN FETTUCCINE

1-2 tsp of salt free seasoning blend
1 tsp chicken seasoning
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1 inch strips
2 T olive oil
2 T butter
2/3 c water
2 T Teriyaki sauce
2 T onion soup mix
1 envelope of savory herb & garlic soup mix
8 oz uncooked fettuccine noodles or other pasta
2 T parmesan cheese
1 T worcestershire sauce

Cooking Directions:
* Combine seasoning blend with chicken seasoning. Sprinkle over chicken.
* In skillet, saute chicken in oil for about 5 minutes, until juices run clear.
* Add water, teriyaki sauce, onion soup mix and herb & garlic soup mix. Bring to a boil.
* Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes.
* Add cheese, worcestershire sauce and 2 T butter. Toss to coat.
* Do nothing with pasta.

Freezing Directions:
* Once cool, freeze chicken sauce for up to 3 months.
* leave pasta uncooked in pantry.

Reheating Directions:
* Thaw chicken sauce in fridge overnight. Reheat on stove until warmed through.
* Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
* Mix pasta in with chicken sauce.
* Serve warm.

ALTERNATIVE:
* Season chicken and freeze raw - seasonings will make a more flavorful chicken as it thaws.
* Put all seasonings together in one bag and freeze.
* On cooking day, put thawed chicken & seasonings in a crockpot to cook. Add water as recipe directs.
* Cook pasta during last 15 minutes of cooking time and add to chicken sauce before serving, then add butter, worcestershire sauce and cheese.

  1. This was so easy to make that my husband made it and it was very tasty, Our kids wanted to know what was wrong with the spagetti since this is a light sauce instead of marinara. They loved the dish also.
